Unfinished Engineered Oak Flooring: Whether you are choosing a new floor for a chic bijou city flat or a classic country farmhouse there is nothing quite like solid oak. Carpeting can stain, grows thin over time and needs cleaning but hardwood flooring is durable, can be swept clean and with simple maintenance oak lasts many years. Nothing quite matches the elegance and warmth of an oak floor in a home.

Unfinished Engineered Oak Flooring is a new way of having the look of a solid oak floor and much of the durability but for a cost effective price & with much improved stability. Put simply, engineered oak flooring is a 'constructed' solid oak floor alternative made by using several cross layers of plywood that's bonded to a top layer of solid oak to create a board similar in looks to solid oak. It means excellent stability after installation and can be even better than a solid floor sometimes. The main advantage is that it looks and feels like a solid floor and can be installed practically anywhere. It is ideal for installing alongside underfloor heating.

Selecting Engineered Oak Flooring Unfinished means you get to choose the finish that best suits your home, choosing from a wide range of different waxes, lacquers and oils. You could even choose a wash or colour stain if that's the look you want for your home. Like a solid oak floor, engineered oak flooring can be sanded down and mended if it gets dented or scratched (when moving heavy furniture for instance) and if cared for correctly will give many years of good service.
